13 Nov to 11 Dec DAB End of Year Art Exhibition

Don’t miss our End of Year Exhibition which runs from 13 November until 11 December, when DAB Gallery is bursting at the seams with our artists’ creations from 2021.
This is a great opportunity to grab some unique, locally-made and beautiful Christmas presents, and to admire the artworks by our talented local artists on display.
From paintings, urban sketches, sculpture, and glass work to pottery, jewellery, cards and mosaics; you’ll find it at DAB.
DAB Gallery is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm, at 11 Mill Street, Mossman.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
See you there – everyone is welcome at DAB.

A fabulous night of FREE entertainment! Come and hear the award-winning QYO Big Band play all your favourite jazz and swing standards. For the first time in a decade, the QYO Big Band are touring to FNQ to share their amazing skills and love of music with locals and tourists alike.

Cotter’s Market Art and Craft Stalls will be selling an array of locally hand crafted Christmas Gifts.
Food vendors will be will selling a range of delicacies suitable for dinner.
Bring your picnic blanket and/or chair and enjoy a meal under the Raintree Lights.
A Christmas Carols Service will be held in St David’s Church from 5pm – 5:45pm everyone is welcome to attend.

6pm to 10pm – Front street Mossman comes to life as the community come out to celebrate the joy and fun of Christmas in its own unique way.
Food Stalls | Market Stalls | Entertainment
A celebration of the season and a fun family friendly event with a little something for everyone.
Front Street Mossman will be closed to traffic and open for the biggest street party of the year, where you can grab a last-minute present, enjoy a bite, and share in the community spirit of the Douglas Shire.

19 December Christmas Cotter’s Market

Santa will be roaming, the choir will be delighting, and performers will be parading.
The winner of the Ultimate Cotter’s Christmas Hamper will be drawn, and there will also be a special competition judged by Mayor Michael Kerr for the best decorated stall on the day!


31 December New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Dixie inlet in Port Douglas will be the place to be with two huge fireworks displays: the family friendly time of 8pm and then the traditional Midnight show. The family fun starts from 5:30 pm with Ace DJ dropping the tunes at the UV GLOW Kids Disco up until the 8pm fireworks. Free face painting and prizes.

Dress up in your FLUORO best and get into the GLOWING light show, get your New Year’s off to a fun start. Then in the lead up to midnight, head into town and find yourself a somewhere nice to celebrate before the traditional Midnight Fireworks Display light up the skies as we all look forward to better days in 2022.
