Tangaroa Blue Beach Cleanup

5th & 6th December Tangaroa Blue Beach Cleanup

Saturday th3 5th is the Dickson Inlet and Sunday the 6th 4 Mile Beach in Port Douglas. One of our longest running QLD beach monitoring sites, which we clean and record data on every month.
Our Tangaroa Blue coordinator will be meeting volunteers at Bruno Reidwig Park at the end of Solandar Blvd, Port Douglas at 8:30am on September 12th for a beach clean-up and data collection activity.
All equipment will be provided, we just need volunteers to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, a reusable water bottle and lots of energy.

Christmas Night Markets

9th December Christmas Night Markets under the Raintrees

Cotter’s Market Art and Craft Stalls will be selling an array of locally hand crafted Christmas Gifts.
Food vendors will be will selling a range of delicacies suitable for dinner.
Bring your picnic blanket and/or chair and enjoy a meal under the Raintree Lights.
A Christmas Carols Service will be held in St David’s Church from 5pm – 5:45pm everyone is welcome to attend.

Macrossan Street will be alive in the spirit of Christmas on Friday December 11 with late night trading and photos with Santa.
Carol singers, live entertainment, and Santa and his elves will be roaming Macrossan St, and entertaining the whole family.
We encourage visitors and locals to Buy Douglas: Build Douglas this Christmas.
With doors open until late, there will be lots of options to fill Christmas stockings. From toys, to clothing, to restaurant vouchers, Macrossan Street will have you covered!

Now in it’s ninth year, The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre is once again reaching out to those in need in our community, in their annual Christmas Spirit Appeal.
In conjunction with What’s On In Port, we are introducing the “Twelve Days Of Christmas”.
We are asking our wonderful local Shire residents to participate by donating goods relating to each of the twelve days as will be published over the coming weeks.

It’s almost time for our annual End of Year Art Exhibition! This event showcases a wide variety of quality work that has been created by local artists during the year.
Art on display includes fabulous range of acrylic and watercolour paintings, botanical paintings, urban sketches, pottery, glass work, jewellery and mosaics.
