Waterfront Fireworks Spectacular – 8pm & Midnight
Welcome 2026 with two dazzling fireworks displays lighting up the Douglas Shire skies.
The Tin Shed’s family fun starts at 5:30pm with free family entertainment, a free kids’ disco featuring the amazing DJ Postie. With UV glow lights, dance-offs, prizes and food trucks, it’s the ideal spot to soak up the vibe before the spectacular 8pm fireworks display over the water.
As the clock strikes twelve, there’s nowhere else you want to be than by the water to experience the magic of the traditional midnight fireworks, welcoming 2026 with a bang.

Iron Bar
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Ironbar. Smack-bang in the centre of town, this iconic steakhouse and watering hole is synonymous with a good time.
Why not begin your night with their specially curated New Year’s Eve set menu? Take a seat amongst the action of Macrossan Street and enjoy the likes of coral trout ceviche, smoked pork belly bites and their raved-about eye fillet steak. Perfect for the whole fam, a kids’ menu is also available.
The party really starts once the sun goes down, with DJs Lewis & Carew spinning the hottest tracks from 10pm until 4pm. Welcome the new year with a midnight countdown and then dance until dawn.

Salsa Bar & Grill
Ring in the new year at Salsa – undeniably one of Port’s favourite restaurants, for good reason. Enjoy the specially curated NYE menu while listening to the incredible Loni Fitzpatrick on the harp, then take in the fireworks from the balcony.
The delicious 6-course menu features smoked wagyu beef tartare, confit huon salmon and a butter poached tiger prawn seaweed taco with green mango and xo emulsion that we can’t wait to emulsify. Ah, did we use that word right? The vegetarian menu also looks downright mouthwatering, so you know this is one to send straight to the group chat for immediate consideration.

Zinc Port Douglas
The star night of the year at Zinc, New Year’s Eve means a buzzing atmosphere, great service and delicious food and drinks Zinc has become known for. If you need any reassurance, last year there were 273 people who joined the Zinc team to dine and celebrate in those final hours before the midnight fireworks – making it a sure bet for a fantastic evening.
The full Zinc menu is on offer for the night, ensuring there’s something to please (and elate) absolutely everyone. And with the kitchen open later for the New Year’s Eve crowd, Zinc is definitely one of our top places to be as we head into 2026.

Celebrate the last night of the year with an Italian feast and fireworks only a stone’s throw away.
